Dr. Planet Castile Soap is a concentrated formula designed for versatility. You can use it undiluted for body care or cleaning, or dilute it to extend its use. Both methods are naturally safe and effective, tailored to your needs.

Why Dilute Dr. Planet?
Diluting allows you to create custom body and cleaning recipes that suit your preferences, while also making the soap last longer. Here’s how to get the most out of your soap:

• 1 tablespoon = 15 ml, which is also the cap size of our refill bottles.

• Dilution tip: Use cool boiled, filtered, or distilled water for best results. Tap water can affect the freshness and may cause stale odors over time.

• Shelf life: Dr. Planet Castile Soap lasts 12 to 18 months when stored correctly.

• Essential Oils: Choose pure, well-sourced oils for your recipes to keep them naturally safe and effective.

 

Body Uses (7 Uses)

1. Washing Hands

   • Dilution: 3–8 tbsp to 500ml water or 1 part soap to 3 parts water.

   • Method: Lather, wash for 20 sec, rinse.

   • Optional: Add 1 tbsp carrier oil & 10–20 drops essential oil.

2. Washing Body

   • Dilution: 1 part soap to 4 parts water.

   • Method: Lather with washcloth/sponge, rinse.

   • Optional: Add 1 tbsp carrier oil & 10–20 drops essential oil.

3. Washing Face

   • Dilution: 1 part soap to 5–6 parts water.

   • Method: Lather, massage gently, rinse.

4. Washing Hair

   • Dilution: 1–2 tbsp to 1 cup water.

   • Method: Lather, massage into scalp, rinse.

   • Tip: Follow with apple cider vinegar rinse (1:4).

5. Shaving Cream

   • Method: Lather on wet skin, shave.

   • Tip: Add carrier oil for moisture.

6. Deodorant

   • Method: Dilute 1–2 drops soap with water, apply underarms.

   • Tip: Add essential oils for freshness.

7. Toothpaste

   • Method: Place 1 drop on toothbrush, brush, rinse.

 

Laundry (4 Uses)

1. Washing Clothes

   • Dilution: 3–6 tbsp to warm water (front loader).

   • Method: Add to washing machine as detergent.

   • Optional: Add essential oils for scent.

2. Soaking Clothes

   • Dilution: 1–2 tbsp in water.

   • Method: Soak clothes for 30 min before washing.

3. Spot Cleaning

   • Dilution: 1 tbsp soap to 1 cup water.

   • Method: Apply to stain, scrub, rinse.

4. Fabric Softener

   • Method: Add 1–2 tbsp soap to the washing machine’s rinse cycle for softening.

 

Kitchen (6 Uses)

1. General Surface Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1–3 tbsp to 500ml water.

   • Method: Spray on surfaces, wipe clean.

2. Dishwashing (Hand)

   • Dilution: 1 tbsp to 500ml water.

   • Method: Wash dishes, rinse well.

3. Dishwasher

   • Method: Add 1 tbsp soap to the dishwasher compartment.

   • Tip: Add vinegar for shine.

4. Fruit & Veggie Wash

   • Dilution: 1 tsp to 1 litre water.

   • Method: Soak, rinse well.

5. Oven Cleaner

   • Ingredients: Bicarbonate soda, Dr. Planet Castile Soap, water.

   • Method: Make a paste with bicarbonate soda and a few drops of Dr. Planet Castile Soap. Apply to oven surface, let sit for 15–20 minutes, then scrub and wipe clean.

6. Surface Cleaner with Bicarb

   • Ingredients: 1 tbsp Dr. Planet Castile Soap, 1 tbsp bicarbonate soda, 500ml warm water.

   • Method: Mix ingredients in a spray bottle, spray on surfaces, scrub, and wipe clean.

 

Bathroom (5 Uses)

1. Shower & Bath Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1–3 tbsp to 500ml water.

   • Method: Spray on surfaces, scrub and rinse.

2. Toilet Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1–2 tbsp to 500ml water.

   • Method: Pour into bowl, scrub, flush.

3. Sink & Countertop Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1–2 tbsp to 500ml water.

   • Method: Spray, wipe.

4. Tile & Grout Cleaner

   • Method: Make paste with bicarbonate soda and water, scrub grout.

5. Mirror & Glass Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1 tbsp soap to 500ml water.

   • Method: Spray, wipe with microfiber cloth for streak-free shine.

 

Home & Outdoors (5 Uses)

1. Mopping Floors

   • Dilution: 1–2 tbsp to 5–10 litres warm water.

   • Method: Mop floors as usual.

2. Dusting

   • Dilution: 1 tbsp soap to 500ml water.

   • Method: Mist surfaces, wipe with microfiber cloth.

3. Outdoor Cleaning

   • Dilution: 2 tbsp soap to 5 litres warm water.

   • Method: Clean outdoor furniture, patios, etc.

4. Pet Wash

   • Dilution: 1 tbsp soap to 1 litre warm water.

   • Method: Apply to pet’s fur (avoid eyes), rinse thoroughly.

5. General Surface Cleaner

   • Dilution: 1–3 tbsp soap to 500ml warm water.

   • Method: Spray on surfaces (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) and wipe with a cloth.

6. Cleaning the Car

   • Dilution: 1–3 tbsp to 1 litre water.

   • Method: Wash exterior, wipe interior with diluted solution.
